MTS started MBlaze internet service in Rajasthan that is capable to serve up to 9.8mbps download speed via CDMA EVDO REV-B technology.
MTS, the biggest and very popular CDMA service provider in India has been running EVDO service with 3.1mbps speed via REV-A technology across various circle in India and has already announced to launch the next high speed service via REV-B earlier.
In REV-B phase II technology, Phase 2 can serve up to 4.9mbps DL speed using single frequency and up to 9.8mbps using dual carrier frequency.
MTS has launched EVDO service in Jaipur in 2011 and now expends the service with better and higher speed across four new areas including Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur and Bhiwadi.
MTS MBlaze prepaid
MTS MBlaze data card with prepaid service is available at price of Rs 1400 with initial data usage of 10GB at 9.8mbps speed for 30 days.
MTS MBlaze postpaid
To adopt postpaid service, users have to pay Rs 1,999 for Mblaze data card. MTS postpaid subscribers will get unlimited data usage up to 6GB at high speed per months for next two months.
CDMA EVDO is better than GSM EDGE/GPRS because of its quality service, availability and constant speed but problem is service is not so cheap compared to GSM or 3G service.
So many Indian CDMA players are currently offering high speed internet via EVDO REV-A which gives max. 3.1mbps download speed and CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II is new and seems to be very popular in few days if MTS introduces some speed based cheap plans in near future.
